Keith Senior has three available offers to choose from - Rugby League News
While talking to Sky Sports reporters on December 13, Keith Senior, Leeds Rhinos’ ace shared that currently he has three offers on the table. The player is taking his time before he decides and pledges his future.
However, the rugby league veteran will not sign on the dotted line with any of the clubs until he has recovered completely from his knee injury, which he picked up during the Leeds' Super League Grand Final 2011 title decider win.
While talking about his injury, which is in its early stages, Senior said, “Obviously when you get to my age - I'm 35 and I've had a knee reconstruction - it's a little bit hard but I have had three offers on the table. For my own peace of mind, I want to make sure that I'm 100% right so that's why I've said to them, 'I'll come back to you in the New Year when I can show you that I'm ready', because I don't want to sign a contract if they're a little bit skeptical about me being fit. “
He also added that to prove his fitness to the clubs that are interested, he wants to ensure his complete recovery, which will in other words translate into 100% commitment from the employers’ side too.
Previously, the Rhinos’ player had penned a deal with Crusaders for th 2012 season, only to find out that the deal was no more, as the financially constraints defunct the club and they had to pull themselves out of the Super League Licencing process for the next three years.
However, the player injured his knee so severely that he had to undergo a knee reconstruction procedure, which kept him from making any future commitments unless he was completely fit. The player believes that fitness should not be compromised at any cost because he will not be comfortable in hearing any ill-comments about his health and explained that is why he would not consider returning unless he is physically fit.
Senior dedicated his recovery period in a book, The Bald Truth, in which he shared that his recovery did at times grow on him. Writing the book kept him busy down the length of his bad patch, which was tagged as one of the worst years of his otherwise glorious rugby league career.
