Kell Brook: I have got a strong team and we are getting great results – Boxing News
Kell Brook, the current WBA inter-continental titlist, is on the go. Brook wants face former WBA and IBF unified champion Amir Khan in the ring. He has been making statements in order to get Khan’s attention but no luck yet.
In his recent interview with Sky Sports, Brook spoke about an-all British showdown against Khan. The former WBO intercontinental titlist believes a battle against Khan would be attractive to fans.
Moreover, Brook spoke about his training camp, revealing that he is achieving great results with his team.
“I've got a strong team and we're getting great results. This far out I'm in a great position, the weight is bang on and I just can't wait now. The tickets are flying out, Sheffield Arena will be rocking again, and I'm just waiting for October 20,” said
Brook while talking about his training camp.
“The training's going absolutely superb, no injuries, I'm feeling very healthy and I just can't wait to get back in there and not scare the fans like I did last time out! And put on a mega performance and show why they call me the 'special one'.”
Recently, Brook has been criticising Khan for his knockout loss to unbeaten American fighter Danny Garcia. According to Brook, Khan has been knocked out by super-featherweights, which means he stands no against him.
However, it should be noted here that even though Khan has been knocked out twice in his career, he still boasts a huge fan following around the globe. The Bolton proud is one of the most selling fighters in the world today, which makes him a sought after
foe for many elite fighters.
Similar to Garcia, even Brook bears an unbeaten record with 28 wins, yet he is not as popular as Khan. Probably the reason why Brook wants Khan is to gain some fan following by knocking out the former champion once again.
For now, Brook believes beating Khan is a matter of a few minutes. Since he knows Khan from their amateur fighting days, Brook believes he understands him pretty well and can put him to the mat again and again if he gets the chance.
