  1. Sure, you can keep them how they are or crush them up a bit.  I like to use Kellogg's Crunchy Nut cornflakes, or honey and nut cornflakes as they give them a better taste I think.

    Enjoy your hols!

  2. Ye u can just melt chocolate and mix it with the cornflakes then leave it 2 cool. That's what i do when i have no rice krispies=]

  3. Yes, absolutely.  Years ago we used to make christmas wreaths out of them by coloring them green and using little cinnamon candies to look like holly berry.  We found we used a little more marshmallow or a little less corn flakes than what you'd use for the rice krispies version.

  4. Yep and they're good too.

    CORN FLAKE TREATS

    3 1/2 c. corn flakes

    30 lg. marshmallows

    1/2 tsp. vanilla

    1 stick butter

    Or

    MARSHMALLOW FLAKE TREATS

    1/3 c. butter

    1 (10 oz.) pkg. marshmallows

    4 c. Corn Flakes

    1 1/2 tbsp. butter

    1/2 c. almonds, sliced

    1 c. coconut

Brown (toast) lightly in frying pan the following ingredients: 1 1/2 tablespoons butter, almonds, coconut. Be careful not to burn coconut; it burns fast. Melt 1/3 cup butter and marshmallows over low heat. When melted remove from heat. Add toasted mixture and Corn Flakes to melted marshmallow mixture. Press into a buttered 13 x 9 inch pan. Frost with 1 cup melted chocolate chips.

  5. CEREAL TREATS

    1 stick butter

    1 (16 oz.) bag marshmallows

    1/2 c. peanut butter

6 c. Cornflakes, Cheerios, or Rice Krispies

    Optional: nuts or coconuts

May add chocolate chips or melt them and spread on the top

Melt butter and marshmallows, stirring constantly. Take off heat and add peanut butter. Stir in cereal and nuts or coconut (if desired). For a change you can melt chocolate chips (or bark) and spread on top after you put cereal mixture in a greased pan. Cool and cut in squares to serve. You can also drop them like cookies or roll them in balls.

    MARSHMALLOW TREATS

    1/4 c. butter

1 pkg. (10 oz., about 40) reg. marshmallows or 4 c. miniature marshmallows

    5 c. Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal

Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Cook over low heat 3 minutes longer, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add cereal. Stir until well coated. Press mixture into buttered pan 13x9x2. Cut into 24 squares, 2x2.

    VARIATIONS:

PEANUT TREATS: Add 1 cup salted peanuts with cereal.

PEANUT BUTTER TREATS: Stir 1/4 cup peanut butter into marshmallow mixture just before adding cereal.

RAISIN TREATS: Add 1 cup seedless raisins with the cereal.

COCOA KRISPIES TREAT: 6 cups of Kellogg's Cocoa Krispies cereal may be substituted for the 5 cups of Rice Krispies.

ANY CEREAL CAN BE SUBSTITUTED FOR RICE KRISPIES.

hope these help.                   good luck and enjoy.
