Kelly Bires sounds like a class act. He took responsibility for the incident, and didn't point any fingers at his spotter or elsewhere. I was impressed. Stinks for Kasey though.

I was at the track and listening to Kasey's radio.  Kasey was shocked it happened because Kelly just cut him off.  In an interview, Kelly said the last he knew Kasey was 2 car lengths back, apologized and took full responsibility.

Well, in between those things, Kole (Kasey's spotter) said that Kelly's spotter was standing next to him.  When the wreck happened, the spotter was brushing bugs off of his wife's back and not paying attention.  

Kasey wasn't too upset because he likes Kelly and knew it was an accident.  Plus he was having shock issues anyway.

It was racing. Just a racing accident.

As much as I just wanted to curse as loud as possible, I kind of feel for the guy, the way things have gone for him lately. Bires didn't realize that Kahne was there, and the spotter didn't seem to be any help in this situation, and that left Kelly with a wrecked car, and Kasey a lap down.

And see? As I'm typing this up, Bires even came on the television and apologized!

#9 Dodge has it. It would have been a whole different story had Kelly gotten on TV and started blaming Kasey, but he was nice and realized that he had screwed up, and said he was sorry about the whole thing.

Kelly Bires is a good guy.
