Marshall is considered to be one of the greatest fast bowlers of all times and it was his birthday on the 18th of April, so Roach appropriately named his eight wickets in the match after the legendary fast bowler.

He has been doing pretty well in the on-going series against Australia at home. Roach picked up a five-wicket haul in the first innings of the second Test and has grabbed all three wickets that fell in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746’s second innings so far.
Roach expressed that he is over the moon to perform in this manner on the birthday of Marshall, whom he looked upon as a role model in childhood. The young fast bowler has no doubts in his mind that there was no match for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Marshall-c74817 during his playing days.
"Today would have been Malcolm Marshall's 54th birthday, it's a special day, I looked up to him as a bowler. I've watched a lot of clips of him and he was just such a great, great bowler. He was the best in the world at the time,” said Roach.
While talking about the pitch at Port of Spain, Roach expressed that the track has very less bounce in it and this is the reason why he just concentrated on targeting the stumps. He wants to complete a 10-wicket haul in the match on the last day of the Test.
The fast bowler mentioned, "The lower the bounce in the pitch, you obviously want to challenge the stumps a bit more, keep your pace up, be as accurate as possible and challenge the batsmen's technique. That's what got me wickets. It would be great to get
10 wickets in this match."
