  1. Olaf would look good in the red wings red. i think he would replace hasek nicely. or why not give jimmy howard a chance.

    BOOM

  2. Wait there. Ray Emery will come flying down the 401 and can be in Detroit by 5pm this afternoon.

  3. Come on Ryan MIller!! I doubt it will happen, and if it did the Buffalo fans would riot, but I can dream they will sell their last piece of good team to us can't I.

  4. Have fun with Emery, Ryan. ;) BOOM.

  5. emery, i think they should, but we'll see

  6. Cristobal Huet may be a good fit for the Wings

  7. I could see Kolzig maybe coming in. He wants a Cup, and might give them a good deal. Otherwise, I don't see an available goalkeeper that is worth the money. May as well stick to Ozzie and Howard, though I'd hate to be stuck with Howard if Ozzie goes down. Maybe you swing a trade then.

  8. I think Ken Holland has more sense than to pick up Emery.  Or if he does pick up Ray, they obviously know something we all don't.  If he snatches up Miller, that'd be huge for the franchise's future.

Frankly, I'm more worried about Brad Stuart's situation.  He played very well in the Wings system, I'd like to see him stay in Detroit.

  9. Emery, he's a proven solid starter and would be great in Detriot with a clean slate, solid coaching, and Osgood under his "wing." Ok, that was lame but seriously, it's a no-brainer for them to try. They did however sign a goalie as  their 1st round draft choice.

  10. Ty Conklin

  11. o goshh i'm not sure..the wings are going to end up with someone good..im guessing that ozzie is gonna be the #1 starting goalie know that hasek retired.

  12. Kolzig is a good insurance policy who can be had for cheap that will play 25 games.

  13. Depends if they're assuming Osgood is the starter or not.  As a backup, you don't want a headcase, so that'll keep Emery out of the running.  I'd have to think a backup with a good reputation who's not expensive; offhand Kolzig, Conklin in Pittsburgh, maybe Raycroft in Toronto...Ryan Miller is a UFA after the end of the 2008-09 season, and with Buffalo very much in limbo, he may depart.
