Kendall Holt to fight Julio Diaz in California in May 2011 – Boxing news
American national, Kendall Holt, who has been world boxing organization’s (WBO) Light Welterweight Champion and the Mexican national, Julio Diaz, who is the former international boxing federation’s (IBF) Lightweight World Champion will be face to face in
a sensational 10-round bout under the most popular welterweight division.
The fight will take place at Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez, California, on Friday May 13, 2011.
The 31-year-old Julio Diaz has fought 44 of his total fights of which he won 38 fights including 27 knockouts wins with 6 losses including 4 by getting knocked out by other fighters and no draw.
Diaz made his debut into the boxing world in 1999. He earned his first ever win over Carlos Rodriguez at the Cathedral City, California. After winning his consecutive 23 fights, he faced the first loss of fight fighting against Angel Manfredy at the Memorial
Coliseum in 2001, where he lost his IBF Lightweight title.
According to boxing observers, this would be the best time for him to fight because he is coming to fight after winning his couple of good fights. Diaz’s first win was against Herman Ngoudjo in 2010 and the second win came his way while fighting against
Pavel Miranda at the Silverdome in the United States in 2011.
Currently, the 29-year-old, Kendall Holt has fought his 29 of his total fights of which he won 25 fights including 13 wins by knockout with 4 losses and no draw. He won his first ever fight by a knockout decision over Frank Zorchak in 2001.
After winning 15 of his consecutive fights, he faced the first loss. The fight was against Thomas Davis at the DePaul Atlantic Center, Chicago, United States in 2004. Holt won his last fight against Lenin Arroyo in United States this year. Therefore, it
will be interesting to see what type of fight plan he will take with him into the ring to beat Diaz.
At this time when both the fighters are improving fight by fight, the upcoming fight will be crucial because no one wants to lose this bout to make his career worse.
Both the fighters are very famous and very much into the sport of boxing because of their distinct thrilling boxing skills. Both the fighters will try to win this bout to stay active in today’s most favourite welterweight division. Secondly, the win can

The promoter, Gary Shaw said, “Both of these guys have too much to lose for this to be anything but a sensational fight. They're both going to be coming out knowing they must win if they are to ever win another world championship.”
