Kenmore 116 Progressive Canister Won't Run

Question

My wife recently ran both my Shop Vac and her Kenmore 116.25813508 (Ser# M61801944) on a 220V line. The SV's impeller self destructed but will be fine once I replace it. The Kenmore's impeller is okay and it ran fine when I powered the motor directly but doesn't run via the hose switch when all is attached. Can you offer any guess as to what might have fried from the high voltage? Do you know where I could get a wiring diagram to assist tracing the problem down?
