I think I know the answer to this question, but since I can't specifically find my model number listed here, I'd better double check.
I have a Kenmore 66562614200 microwave oven. Last night, one of the bulbs burned out under the unit. I removed the small s***w that holds the cover in place and there was a quick arc. Now the clock works, but that's about all.
I later opened the bottom of the unit up to make sure that there wasn't a fuse that was blown. Once I had removed the bottom panel, I was THEN able to read that you should unplug it before replacing a bulb. FIrst, I couldn't read that when the panel was in place, since the writing was upside down and backwards and I couldn't read it that close anyway. Secondly, I had no idea that I could actually unplug it, since it was permanently mounted in the cabinet, however I did later find a plug behind the pots and pans.....sigh.
Anyway, I suspect you're going to tell me that the controller is now shot. Is there any reason to suspect anything else? SInce the clock still works, I know that the unit is still getting power, so I don't suspect a fuse or a blown breaker.
