Whenever its agitating, or expecially when its spinning things dry, it makes a groaning squeeling noise, I propped it up and ran it and it seemed to go away when there wasnt a load, I'm thinking the clutch is slipping? Is there a way to adjust that without removing the motor and transmission?

  1. If it was the drive coupling you would find a pile of rubber under the coupling, which is where the motor connects to the trans..

It does sound like the clutch but noises are hard to say without hearing them. Pulling the transmission to get to the clutch is not ALL that big a deal if you know what you are doing.

There is no real "adjustment" but I have sanded the clutch and pads for noise or grabbing problems.

    Good Luck.

  2. Sounds like drive coupling is going out.  It's a small plastic part that controls the spinning and agitating.  Over loading your washer makes it fail faster.  You can change it your self or call repair person.
