Kenmore Elite Dishwasher 16939

Question

I have the above dishwasher purchased in 2002. The rubber gasket on the inter panel comes loose occasionaly and then leaks water, I had it replaced twice, but the heat and suction of the door openning pulls it away unexpectingly. We are in the process of replacing a wood floor now cause by the leaking. Before we put down the new floor, I would like to solved this issue and would not prefer to purchase a new dishwasher just because I can't fix a gasket. Any suggestions?
