Kenmore Elite side-by-side Fridge side is

Kenmore Elite side-by-side Fridge side is not cooling. (Freezer is working ok) Part on top left of fridge that has vent holes that usually blow out cooled air does not seem to be working. Could the fact that our freezer door was not shut properly last week and we found frost all over the freezer have contributed to this?
