This is a 2 year old fridge. Bottom freezer with french doors. No water/ice in door. On Saturday, my son accidentally left the freezer door open slightly defrosting everything in it. On Sunday, I noticed that the refrigerator was not cold. It is now Tuesday and Sears continues to tell me that they can not get anyone out til Saturday. I have had to throw away all of my food (freezer from my son, fridge from having no place to put all my cold stuff and it is HOT).
We turned it off and unplugged the fridge for a couple of hours (the whole freezing up part). When we plugged it back in, the freezer began cooling and the fridge is still warm.
When you turn the fridge thermostat off, and then back on -- it sounds like the damper (see what I have learned) opens and closes but there is no air moving. (The thermostat is not a dial but an electronic type)
Is there a fan that I need to be concerned about? something that controlls a fan? something else?

I don't see frost in the freezer (looking through the vents at the bottom) and I'm at a loss. I'm totally stressed out and all I can get from Sears is "I'm sorry ma'am, this is our busiest season and our technicians are completely booked". I don't really have time to wait or to fix it but is seems that I have company coming Friday and a party planned on Saturday -- I'm just a tad stressed at this point.

Please, if you can help -- I need step by step directions and locations on all this stuff because the most I know about a refrigerator is you plug it in and keep cold stuff in it. Thank you :)
