Kenmore refrigerator water dispenser

Question

I need to replace the valve assembly on my Kenmore refrigerator (Sears model number 795.75192401).  I have the part but I can't figure out how to get the tubing to uncouple from the inlet nor from the outlet to the water reservoir without breaking the plastic.  What's the "trick" to getting them apart without breaking them?
