Kenmore side by side #50562991. the freezer has completely defrosted and the fridge side is now

the freezer has completely defrosted and the fridge side is now warm. the fans are blowing but it is not very cold. all the ice has melted in the maker. i cleaned underneath the unit and cleaned the coils off and there is a black pod with copper tubing going in and out of it, there is a switch on the side with a red and white wire going from it to a fan. when i plug the fridge in that switch clicks or the pod clicks and then clicks again. i have never heard this before. it seems that the fridge is running and fans work but no cold air. what can i do.
