Fifth best qualification spot of the event was obtained by Justin James of Australia, who was 1.24 seconds slower from his former finisher and concluded his race in a time of 54.83 seconds.
James was traced by Robert Hurley of Australia, who stayed half a body length slower from his foregoing finisher and ended his race with an effort of 55.41 seconds for sixth place.
Hurley enjoyed an advantage of Viacheslav Prudnikov of Russia, who was 0.61 seconds apart and ended his race in a time of 56.02 seconds for seventh position.
Eighth position of the race was obtained by Russell Smith of Great Britain, who was 0.63 seconds away from overwhelming his foregoing finisher and tapped the wall with a timing of 56.65 seconds.
