http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 manager, Kenny Dalglish has admitted that he is delighted to have Luis Suarez back, but feels the striker should have never been banned in the first place.
Suarez had been missing in action for Liverpool since the end of last year, when he went on to serve to consecutive bans, which ruled him out of action for nine games. The player suffered a one game ban for a gesture that he made towards the Fulham fans
and then went on to suffer an eight game lay-off, for racial comments that he made towards http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231.
However, the striker made his comeback last night, as Liverpool took on Tottenham Hotspur and was part of the team which held Tottenham to a goalless draw.
The striker managed to play around twenty four minutes in the game, but seemed to be a little off during the game.
Dalglish has gone on to defend his player, as he admitted that the player was a little rusty due to him being out of action for so long. Despite that fact, Dalglish strongly believes that Suarez has the ability to turn just about any game around, due to
the skill and technique that the Uruguayan international possesses.
The Reds boss is quoted to have said: "He’s not played since December, I think it’s unfair to throw someone straight in"
"He's had half an hour and that’ll do him the world of good, that’s better than anything we can do at Melwood.
"Every time he gets hold of the ball you think he’s going to do something, we’re delighted to get him back, we don’t think he should ever have been away and we look forward to working with him."
The manager then admitted that the striker didn’t need to prove anything to the fans, since all that he had to say or do had been done.
"I think everything we want to say about Luis, we’ve said. For me, Luis Suarez hasn’t got anything to prove to anybody at Liverpool Football Club.”
With Suarez now back in the mix, Liverpool are looking much stronger up front, than they did a couple of weeks ago. Now with this added fire power, the team is going to look forward to try and secure a top four finish, while picking up a trophy or two along
the way.
