Kenny Dalglish confirms http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Steven-Gerrard-c34196 is recovering well – EPL News

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has revealed that the Reds influential captain, Steven Gerrard, is recovering well from his ankle infection. However, the Merseyside boss confirmed that the English midfielder will not take any part in the upcoming Premier League
match against Swansea City at Anfield.
Gerrard, along with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jamie-Carragher-c17728, missed Liverpool’s last league outing against West Bromwich Albion. The Reds skipper was supposed to start against the Baggies, however, he was omitted from the squad at the very last moment due to the ankle injury.
Recently, Liverpool officially confirmed on their website that the Reds skipper has been diagnosed with an ankle infection and will be out of action for few weeks.
Dalglish has now confirmed that Gerrard is recovering well and has expressed his satisfaction over the Englishman’s recovery process.
While talking about 31-year-old’s health condition, the Liverpool manager told the reporters:
“They found the infection and I suppose it's a wee bit like flu - you know you've got it, but you don't know where it came from. But they are treating and it is responding really well, so it's positive for him. It is nothing more sinister.”
Dalglish revealed that there are no more injury concerns for the Reds, however, the Merseyside boss confirmed that Jamie Carragher will undergo a late fitness test. The defender missed the last league match due to an injury to his knee.
While commenting on the defender’s injury situation, Dalglish said:
“We'll check on Carra for Saturday and see how he is. If he's not going to be right, he is not going to be right.”
The Scotsman believes that his squad is more strong with Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, however, Dalglish expressed his delight over Liverpool’s win against West Bromwich Albion in the absence of the English duo.
“It was a great achievement for the boys to get a result at West Brom without either of those two playing, but I am sure they'll not be far away from playing,” Kenny Dalglish concluded.
