Liverpool manager, Kenny Dalglish has confirmed that the Reds will not be pursuing anyone in the January transfer window.
Kenny Dalglish has gone ahead and dismissed any and all rumours that linked players making their way to Anfield on the deadline day of the January transfer window, as he admitted that the Reds would not make any signings till the end of the season.
Having spent a hundred million this past year, everyone assumed Liverpool to go back at it and try and bring in more players, considering their previous activities in the transfer window didn’t help them out.
Despite spending over the top and trying to bring in the best possible players, Liverpool are still sitting in the seventh spot in the league and don’t seem to be able to break it into the top four.
It was previously believed that Liverpool had, had enough of Andy Carroll and were looking to let go of the player. The team were reportedly pondering a deal, which would see http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez join Liverpool and Andy Carroll go the other way in exchange.
However even the idea of such a move was shut down by City and Dalglish has now confirmed that Liverpool won’t be looking to make any last minute transfers happen this time around.
The Reds boss is quoted to have said: "There'll be nothing happening here in the transfer window, in or out”
"There's no need to ask any questions about transfers or speculation or anything else."
Despite Dalglish making these claims, it is still safe to assume that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 could make a last minute offer for a player or two.
The team seems to be lacking fire power up front and their wingers just aren’t performing at the level that they were expected to.
In fact, the team had been playing rather poorly in recent weeks and have only been impressive in the Carling and FA Cup.
If the plan was for Dalglish to pick up one of those two trophies this season, then the team is right on track. However, if he wanted the team to secure a European spot, then he is well aware of the fact that he needs to spend big once again, or risk losing
out on European football once again.
