Despite being the most expensive Englishman in the English Premier League, Carroll has been unable to live up to his price tag at Liverpool but his manager is adamant that the striker will come good regardless of his form thus
far at Anfield...
It has been a sad tale for Andy Carroll at Liverpool so far, the fans at Anfield are desperate to see him do well considering the club did pay 35 million pounds for his transfer from Newcastle United but his form has been anything
but promising.
Carroll has shown frequent sings of brilliance but consistency has been lacking on a large basis from his game at Liverpool. Kenny Dalglish has used the striker sparingly and he can be held partially accountable for not allowing
Carroll to regain his confidence as well as his form at Anfield as the striker himself has rarely started regularly for the Reds.
Liverpool won the Carling Cup earlier on in the season but the lack of goals scored by both Suarez and Carroll this season has been a cause of concern for them in the Premier League as they are now further behind the top four teams
of the league.
Dalglish himself has come under fire for his selection policy and how he has rotated the squad frequently. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809’s latest defeat to Wigan only added further pressure on Dalglish who is now battling to produce results in the
Premier League.
Dalglish defended his team’s front man as he said, "There are always going to be people saying it was good or bad. But that doesn't make any difference really. For me, we were delighted to get him and we're still very pleased to
have him. We have said all along about the boys who have come in that some settle in quicker than others - and in the environment away from football, too.”
He added, "The quicker you settle in, the better chance you're going to give yourself. I think Andy's settled in the area, and he's worked really hard to progress his career. Stats are there for everyone to twist and turn whatever
way they want to. I won't sit and analyse everyone's stats to see where they come out at the end.”
