http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 boss, Kenny Dalglish, has laughed off his claims. The 60-year-old Dalglish was determined to support the striker, who recently joined the Reds after
the January transfer window.
Dalglish claimed that the player has turned into a more mature footballer ever since his arrival at Anfield and has already started showing signs of his superior abilities. He further added that he and Carroll have been to many Boyzone concerts but the 22-year-old
has never offered him a drink nor has he seen him drinking.
The England boss believes that the use of alcohol forced the former Newcastle United striker into some on and off the field incidents while he was at St.James Park. Capello recently warned him against the consumption of alcohol after the completion of England’s
international friendly with the African outfit http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ghana-c2905. The match ended equal at 1-1.
Dalglish hailed the efforts of the striker and seemed delighted at the way Carroll has applied himself after returning from an injury. He stated, "Andy Carroll knows what is required of Andy Carroll, and he’s done fantastically well getting back to where
he has, with his application and dedication,"
The Scotsman insisted that the commitment shown by the striker since he joined the Kops is exemplary and added that Carroll is completely focused on his game. He found it hard to believe that the striker was criticised even after scoring his first international
goal for England in a draw against Ghana.
Dalglish concluded by saying that, "Whatever Andy has done, he has done it very well, and somebody else’s opinion is up to them. But he cannot be criticised in any way, shape or form for what he has done since he has been here. He’s done really well to get
where he is, so I think Andy is focused on his football.”
Kenny Dalglish took charge of Liverpool in January 2011 after Roy Hodgson left the club following a series of poor results. The Reds are currently sixth in the Premier League with forty five points and will take on Hodgson’s West Bromwich Albion in their
next game on Saturday the 2 of April.
