Kenny Dalglish does not want to change http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809’s tactics
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish believes he doesn’t need to change any of his tactics, in order to help the Red climb up the Premier League table, as they look to secure a Champions League spot for next season.
The Reds have failed to really make an impact in front of their opponents goals this season, as the team has managed to score a mere twenty one goals, in the seventeen games they have played this season.
This inability to score in front of goal has cost the team a number of points and they have even managed to draw six of the nine games they played at home.
A prime example of this lack of fire power was displayed against Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385, who apart from being bottom of the league table took one point away from Anfield, despite having only one shot on target during the game.
Liverpool dominated the game and had most of the possession, but for some odd reason, they just couldn’t manage to find the back of the net.
The team is now looking to play host to Newcastle and they will need to take all their opportunities, if they are to secure any points from the game.
Nonetheless, it seems like Kenny Dalglish is a little too optimistic at the moment and when talking about his tactics and his plans is quoted to have said:
"We want to be winning our home games as often as we possibly can and we've certainly given ourselves opportunities to have won every home game.
"We haven't done that but we will keep going and we believe we will do.
"I suppose every change you make can be termed drastic; we have changed formations, we've changed players, but the one thing we won't change is our philosophy so we'll keep going with that.”
It seems like Dalglish is now in a phase where he just doesn’t want to try and change. The manager is apparently more than happy with picking up draws.
However, what can be said assuredly, is that Liverpool need to pick their pace up, or they could end the season out of the top four, once again.
