Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has revealed that he is impressed with the performance of his strikers, Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez, following the club’s recent 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield.
The Merseyside club bounced back from back-to-back Premier League defeats in empathetic fashion. Liverpool’s attackers shone in a comfortable 2-1win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield.
Dalglish is relishing the prospect of creating a formidable attacking partnership of Carroll and Suarez, however, the Scotsman believes that the duo still need some time to understand each other’s game as they have not played together on many occasions.
Though the former Newcastle United striker failed to find the back of the net, Dalglish is content with his efforts.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 boss told the reporters, "I don’t think that Luis and Andy have played a lot together, but both played well today."
Suarez had an impressive start to the season and has already scored four times for the Reds this campaign. Dalglish has heaped praise on the Uruguayan international’s performance both on and off the pitch, and has acknowledged that the Merseyside club are
fortunate to have top quality at the helm.
"Suarez been outstanding on and off the pitch and we’re very fortunate to have him." Kenny was quoted as saying.
Contrary to Suarez’s start to the life at Liverpool, Carroll has come under huge criticism for his lack of goals since joining the Reds in a multi-million move from Newcastle United. The 22-year-old scored two goals in the Premier League last season and
is yet to score for the Reds this season.
However, Dalglish has revealed that he is happy with Carroll’s performance and is confident that the English striker will be able to score goals in the near future.
"It’s funny that Andy plays half decent and nobody asks me about him. Everything about his game was good except [not scoring] the goal," Kenny Dalglish concluded.
Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez are expected to lead Liverpool’s attack in the upcoming Merseyside derby against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019.
