Kenny Dalglish hails Liverpool’s impressive win over Exeter City in the Carling Cup – EPL News
Inspirational Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has expressed his delight over the Reds’ impressive win against the League One outfit Exeter City in the third round of the Carling Cup.
The Merseyside club boss has hailed his players’ commitment and respect they showed to the League one’s mid-table side during the knock-out fixture, which the Reds comfortably won by 3-1 at St. James Park.
Liverpool, who were featuring in third round of the Carling Cup for the first time since 1999, suffered a shocking defeat against League One minnows Northampton Town in the same stage of the competition last season. In order to prevent the same fate, Kenny
Dalglish named a relatively strong side which was led by club’s talismanic attacker Luis Suarez.
Dalglish has expressed his contentment over his side’s win and believes that the Reds’ extraordinary commitment and attitude against Exeter City helped them claim the win.
