Kenny Dalglish hopeful Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez will fire for the Reds – EPL news
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is adamant that the new strike partnership of Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez will help the Reds achieve success.
Liverpool have been without silverware since winning the FA cup in 2006 and did not even qualify for Europe in 2010.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Uruguay-c3035 International Luis Suarez joined the Reds in January 2011 from Ajax Amsterdam for 23 million pounds while Englishman Andy Carroll was signed for 35 million pounds from Newcastle United. Funds were made available after the transfer of star striker
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and the Liverpool management thinks the money has been wisely invested.
Suarez was regarded as one of the most lethal finishers in Europe during his time at Ajax and scored more than 100 goals during his stay at the club. Suarez is a key member of the Uruguay national side and helped his country to fourth place in the 2010 FIFA
World Cup where he bagged 3 goals from 6 games.
Andy Carroll arrived at the scene with some brilliant performances for Newcastle United. The 22-year-old scored 11 goals in the Premier league for the Magpies before joining http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809. However, the striker is yet to open his account for the Reds.
Manager Dalglish will certainly be pleased with the performance of his new signings. In the recent 2-0 victory over Sunderland, the two strikers were in the starting line-up and Suarez chipped in with a fantastic goal.
Dalglish said, “The two lads we brought in during January played together for the first time and showed a lot of very encouraging signs. Andy made a fantastic physical effort to play 90 minutes on Thursday in the Europa league and another 70 at Sunderland.
Luis chipped in with a fantastic goal and the two of them showed encouraging signs of what we can look forward to.”
The Anfield faithful are expecting the strike duo to fire and pay back the money invested in them with some brilliant performances on the field. If the strikers are effective in front of goal, they can be instrumental in helping the Reds end their trophy
drought.
