Kenny Dalglish pleased with Liverpool’s impressive start to the new Premier League season – EPL News
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 manager Kenny Dalglish has hailed the Reds’ impressive start to the ongoing 2011/12 Barclays Premier League campaign and has insisted that the Merseyside club will be able to achieve their pre-season targets if they manage to continue their impressive
form throughout the season.
Liverpool, who are now the second most successful English club, are being heavily tipped as one of the title contenders for this season after they signed six new players during the current summer transfer window.
After an impressive pre-season campaign, the Reds’ only managed to get a draw in their opening-day fixture against Sunderland. Liverpool hugely impressed against Steve Bruce’s men but were unfortunate not to get all three points.
However, Liverpool marked their first win of this season when they outclassed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 at the Emirates Stadium.
Nonetheless, the Reds’ are still unbeaten in the League and Kenny Dalglish’s has appreciated his team’s performance in the first two fixtures.
In contrast to start of the 2010/11 season, during which the Reds, who were under the guidance of Roy Hodgson then, were languishing at the bottom half of the table, Liverpool have made a solid start to this campaign.
Dalglish told the reporters, "This time last year there was a lot of disappointment because the club hadn't started so well."
However, the Reds’ manager is keen to keep the Reds’ collective feet on the ground and wants his team to improve as the season wears on.
"Fortunately we've changed a little bit - but let's not get carried away or be running before we can walk. Let's just take our time. The boys were brilliant at Arsenal on Saturday, but we're not going to get carried away with one result - and neither should
anybody," Kenny Dalglish concluded.
