Kenny Dalglish predicts a competitive fixture for Liverpool against Brighton – EPL News
Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has hailed Brighton and Hove Albion’s impressive start to the ongoing 2011/12 Championship season. The manager has predicted a difficult game for the Reds when they take on the League one giants in a Carling Cup fixture on Wednesday.
Dalglish has already set his sights on Carling Cup in order to fulfil Liverpool’s pre-season target of delivering silverware in the current campaign. The Merseyside boss fielded a strong side in the previous round of campaign which the Reds convincingly
won against Exeter.
The 18-time English champions now face Brighton and Hove Albion, who recently secured promotion to n-power Championship – England’s second tier league.

games, and Dalglish is very impressed by the progress shown by a side who just got promoted to the league.

Dalglish believes it will be tough game for Liverpool and wants his side to be at their best against the n-power Championship side.
"It will be a difficult game. We have got to get ourselves right, concentrate on ourselves, do our homework on Brighton and take forward it from there,” the Reds boss added.
The Scotsman hailed his side’s commitment and professionalism in Carling Cup’s last fixture against Exeter City and has asserted that the Reds will have to do to same in order to get a positive result against Brighton.
"We will approach it properly and professionally. They were totally professional when we played at Exeter and we'll have to do the same again if we want to get a result,” Kenny Dalglish concluded.
The match will be played at Brighton and Hove Albion’s home ground, Falmer Stadium, and Liverpool are firm favourites to make it through to the next round.
