Kenny Dalglish has come out and made it clear that no one in their right mind would suggest that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 deserved to lose to Queens Park Rangers in the way they did after taking a two goal advantage and then losing 3-2 to
the Premier League minnows...
Kenny Dalglish, the Liverpool manager has defended his team’s collapse against Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 in London in their latest Premier League encounter as they lost their two goal advantage and ended up being on the wrong side of
a 3-2 score line.
With Liverpool’s defeat to QPR, their chances of qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League have almost died out as now there is a considerable gap between them and other teams vying for the top four places in the league
table.
Not only that, this latest defeat has also brought out the critics who have been at Dalglish’s back since the start of the season as despite Liverpool’s investment in the likes of Suarez and Andy Carroll over the last three transfer
windows, the Merseyside club has not performed up to the expected mark.
At the start of the season, there was talk of challenging for the Premier League title but that died away even before the January transfer window and now all the talk of qualifying for the Champions League has also evaporated.
Dalglish said, "We need to find the answers and make sure that we go on and we learn from it. We were so constructive for so many parts of that game. We've conceded from a set-play, a cross and a mistake right at the death. I don't
think anyone in their right mind would say we deserved that. We don't have an explanation for it but we can only do what we have done right."
He added, "Maybe a lot of people would have thought after winning against Stoke and getting into the semi-final it would have affected the way the boys approached the game but to their credit it never did.”
