The Liverpool manager has come again come out and made yet another excuse for his team’s lack of form and this time the Scotsman has blamed it on frustration amongst his players as the Reds lost their recent encounter against
Newcastle United...
Kenny Dalglish has defended his team’s loss to Newcastle United in their latest Premier League match after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pepe-c29670 Reina was sent off and Andy Carroll was booked for a dive inside the Newcastle penalty area. The match between the
two outfits was interesting as both the teams went for the win but in the end it was http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809’s lack of quality in front of goal which proved to be the difference.
For Newcastle United, Ben Arfa ran circles around the Liverpool defence which struggled to deal with his pace and trickery from the right wing as he cut onto his left foot to a great effect. Newcastle Untied ended up as eventual
winners but the encounter was marred with controversy on two occasions.
Firstly, it was Carroll who dived blatantly inside the Newcastle United penalty area and after that in the second half; http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 in the league
table and their first choice keeper will miss the F.A Cup semi-final as well.
Dalglish said, "We had chances and we were unfortunate not to get a penalty, and that would have left us playing against 10 men. Then they got the goal, which from our point of view was disappointing, and the boys showed frustration
and maybe started feeling sorry for themselves. Pepe got frustrated and got himself a red card and Andy marched up the tunnel (after being substituted), he was frustrated and disappointed for himself and at the result. “
He added, “There's no problem with the red card for Pepe but there is a problem that we never had a penalty kick. I don't think it was a penalty but neither did I think Andy was trying to get a penalty. The decision not to give
a penalty was correct but it was harsh to show him a yellow card, he was always struggling to keep his balance."
