Kenny Dalglish thanks his stars after win over Fulham
Liverpool manager, Kenny Dalglish has thanked his lucky stars after his side managed to secure a rather crucial win over Fulham last night.
The only goal of the game was scored by John Paintsil, who happens to be a Fulham player. Liverpool were gifted the lead via an own goal and hence, Dalglish managed to secure his first home win since taking over from Roy Hodgson.
However, despite the win over Fulham, Dalglish did not get ahead of himself and said that Fulham were somewhat unlucky to come away with the loss. This was because Dalglish was not very pleased with his side’s performance and stated
that there was plenty of room for improvement.
The manager is reported to have said, “I think to be honest Fulham will think they deserved something from the game"
"There have been many games when we thought we deserved more. The players put in a great effort."
However, as a result of the win, Liverpool rose to the seventh spot in the Premier League table, which saw the team re-enter the Top 10 after a long period. Liverpool have finally started to exhibit the potential that they possess,
which is a rather positive sign for the Reds fans.
The manager further added, “That sort of game has been a long time coming, because we worked hard, we got a bit of fortune.
"I think we're better than seventh. It's getting a bit more realistic but that's not where this football club wants to be, but if we want to get higher we've got to win more games.”
Dalglish then addressed the daunting issue, which involved the potential transfer of Charlie Adam to Liverpool. He said that at the moment, there was nothing more than rumours and speculations floating around and he did not want
to talk about another team’s player.
The fact that Dalglish has managed to save the sinking ship at Anfield and has somehow kept it afloat indicates that if the manager continues in a similar fashion, he could potentially see http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 all the way to a European spot
at the end of the season. However, for now, that seems to be nothing more than a fictitious thought.
