Kenny Dalglish wants Andy Carroll to score for Liverpool
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 manager, Kenny Dalglish expects Andy Carroll to seize his opportunities and start scoring goals for the Reds over the course of the coming weeks. The manager feels the player is finally in the right place and its only a matter of time before he
starts finding the back of the net.
So far this season, Carroll has managed to make only eight starts for Liverpool. In those eight starts, the striker has found the back of the net on two occasions. That record, by all means is a rather poor one, for a striker who is considered to be as good
as Carroll.
However, with the team ready to play a number of matches over the festive season, Dalglish believes Carroll will be given a better opportunity to shine and that he is bound to finally get his act together.
The manager then went on to admit that the strikers career as a Red started in August, given how he was injured when he signed for Liverpool. He also feels that the forward has brilliant potential and it’s now a wait to see the player unleash himself onto
the Premier League.
"He came in last season with an injury and never featured until the Manchester United game, when he came on as a sub. So his career really only started in August there.
"We have got to get know them and they have got to get to know us and I think it is a fantastic credit to all of them, the new ones and the ones that were here before, that they have gelled so quickly.
"That includes everybody who has come in. It will take a bit of time for everyone to be acquainted with each other but we are happy with the progress we have made so far."
It’s quite unclear as to where the manager is coming from, since Carroll has been given ample opportunities to prove himself. The striker has so far seemed incapable of fitting into the Liverpool squad and all that can be done, is to wait and see just how
far the player goes as a Red.
