Kenny Perry to feature in Honda Classic and the Transitions Championship
Kenny Perry is in the field of the upcoming mega events, the Honda Classic and the Transitions Championship, slated to start in the month of March.
The 51-year-old American professional golfer confirmed his activities of March, 2012. These two leading tournaments are now in the schedule.
Recently, he was playing at the Champions Tour and now will return to Professional Golf Association Tour in the coming month.
The Honda Classic at PGA National Champion Course, Palm Beach Gardens, is scheduled to start from March 1 to 4.
Meanwhile, the Transitions Championship at Innisbrook Resort Copperhead, Palm Harbor, is scheduled to begin from March 15 to 18.
Both the tournaments are famous for being played at the amazing avenues of Florida. The weather of the region is in favour of players and they love while playing at globally-known courses.
Perry is in the news these days for winning the title of the Ace Championship, staged by the Champions Tour.
He delivered his best performance at the TwinEagles Golf Club (Talon Course), Naples in Florida.
He impressively covered the average driving distance of 306.7 yards and won the tournament by a five-stroke lead. He also scored 25 impressive birdies and 26 pars in total.
"I really wanted that putt," said Perry, who won his second Champions Tour title. "I really wanted to shoot 20 under. I didn't want to fall back to 19 like I did at Colonial one year".
He went on, "I had a seven-stroke lead coming in and I doubled and I went from 21 to 19. I said, 'I ain't doing that this week.' So, I was able to get that putt in. Ecstatic. It's a great win for me".
He is very happy to attain a victory by a five-stroke lead. This was his second win at the Champions Tour and now he is looking at the PGA to record his 15th PGA Tour win this year.
Perry is in full form and trying to be on top of the leaderboard in the two tournaments. Similarly, if he desires to be the leader in the upcoming Honda Classic and Transitions Championship, he has to make some extra efforts.
He will also face leading players from across the world and a tough battle is expected.
