The lawyer for the man who has alleged Auburn quarterback Cam Newton's father asked for money from Mississippi State recruiters in order to secure his son's commitment to play for the Bulldogs said Friday his client will likely meet with NCAA investigators in Chicago next week. The attorney, Doug Zeit, said some preliminary conversation with the NCAA about his client, Kenny Rogers, has already been held. "We've had some discussions about (meeting) potentially next week. But that's not etched in stone," Zeit told USA TODAY. "They want to talk to us, and I believe he probably has some responsibility to talk to the NCAA. ... So yeah, we'll make some inroads there."
