Kenny Williams gets hard reaction from fans on inadequate attendance at U.S. Cellular
Recently the Chicago White Sox general manager Kenny Williams has made some comments on players’ salaries which are directly related to attendance at U.S. Cellular, the home field of Chicago’s south baseball franchise.
Many think that the objective of GM’s public statement about the level of attendance at White Sox’s home field is quite genuine and that is certainly unnecessary at present to raise the players’ salaries as the franchise suffers with so many financial issues.
Some two days ago, Kenny Williams had said on players’ salary packages and which are the primary concern for his top management at the moment, “Whether they’re here or not, we’re still going to look at potential places where we can improve the club, But you have to be careful with that because once guys start to believe in themselves as a unit.”
However, on the other hand, this statement is not acceptable to many. They also have a valid point that the White Sox’s management, who at the moment thinking selfishly, owes many things to its fans, players and the many people, who are involved in this franchise’s day to day affairs.
"I love that pressure, There is a sense in our organization that none of us can throw, hit or run but we know we're contributing to the team on a daily basis. I wasn't comfortable taking the prices for this series lower, But, when all is said and done, we can look at it and learn from this.'' Sox’s marketing vice-president Brooks Boyer said on the recent developing story.
A recent report which has represented a very brief idea as how many White Sox’s fans attend the home games and how many are out there who watch on T.V, listen to ratio and surf on internet for their favourt team’s games, results and previews.
According to this survey, a large amount of White Sox’s fans at-least 10 percent of total city stay at home and watch games with their families while many also listen to radio broadcasts.
This survey certainly showed the true picture to Kenny Williams who deliberately somewhat criticized the White Sox’s fans on not attending the home games.
