Kensie Joelle, Liam/Elijah Christopher?

These are the names we have chose, opinions please. We live in Seattle so we can get away with them and everyone that we talk to that lives around us loves them. I still want more opinions....

Kensie Joelle is the girl name we have chosen and is after my grandparents that have passed away. Ken and Sheldeen Jo.

For a boy we can't decide between Liam and Elijah. Christopher is after my father-in-law. We both like Liam most but it is getting so common. We may wait until we see his face.

We are just now in two week wait so we have no idea if we are even pregnant yet.

My other children are Madison and Evan.

Please give feedback and other names you think fit with my other children. And I don't like William or Mackensie. Surname is Wall.

Thank you :)

  1. I don't like William or Mackenzie either. I like Elijah Christopher the most.

  2. First of all, please accept my most candid apologies for your losses. Also, congratulations on your possible pregnancy! Now, I think it's lovely what you're doing with the names. I like the name Kensie, but I don't care for the name Joelle; however, if the middle name is meaningful to you and you like it, don't even blink at how I feel about it. I like the name Joey for a girl, but definitely not with the name Kensie, so the only other girl's middle name I like would have to be the name Josephine. For the boy, I love the name Liam. The thing is, 'Elijah' is pronounced 'ee-LIE-jah,' whereas 'Alijah' is pronounced 'ah-LIE-zjah,' which I find to be far better. Did you see the ending? Anyway, I would go with Liam, I suppose. I hope I assisted you. :] Take care.

  3. For your boy, I prefer Liam Christopher.  While Liam's popularity is definitely on the rise, it's actually much less common than Elijah.  Liam ranked #89 for boys last year, but Elijah ranked #30!  Madison, Evan, and Liam sounds better than Madison, Evan, and Elijah.

Kensie Joelle isn't a name I'd personally use, since I tend to go for classics, and Kensie sounds kind of trendy.  However, it's a reasonable choice for you considering both family members you were wanting to honor, and it's the sort of name a lot of people will think is really cute, considering the popularity of names like Kaylie, Hailey, and Mackenzie.

If you want to go for something a little more classic-sounding, you could always try Josephine Kendra or Josephine Kensie.  (Josie is an awfully cute nickname.)  If your grandfather's full name was Kenneth, you might consider Josephine Gwyneth, Gwyneth Josephine, or Gwyneth Jo.  Come to think of it, I'm actually liking these a lot better than Kensie Jo, but that's really my personal style.  Madison, Evan, and Josephine would be an awfully cute sibset, as would Madison, Evan, and Gwyn.

Just out of curiosity, what was your grandfather's middle name?  Would that give you any viable first or middle name options for your daughter?

  4. I LOVE your baby girl's name.  So much that I am now considering using it for my future daughter's name.  I would vouch for Elijah Christopher.  I've always loved the name Elijah.  I once knew an Elijah who was pretty cool.  I too am tired of hearing the name Liam.

  5. I don't like the name Kensie.  Why not use it for a middle name...Joelle Kensie or Joleen Kensie?  I like Elijah more then Liam and Elijah Christopher flows well.

  6. I like Liam Christopher.  I don't like the girls name, sorry.

  7. Love Kensie Joelle.  I like Liam and Elijah, but I think Elijah sounds much better with your surname..."Liam Wall" just doesn't sound right to me.  "Elijah Wall" and "Kensie Wall" sound much better.

  8. I like Kensie Joelle very well.

I think you should go with Liam if you like it. Or, like you said you can wait to see his face to see if he is a Liam or Elijah. The only think I like able Elijah is the nickname - Eli.

  9. I think Kensie Joelle is fabulous!!

I like Elijah for a boy and why not for the middle name Christopher. It goes really well and you can honor your father in law :-)

    Good Luck !!!

  10. I don't like Kensie with an "s".  I like it better with a "z", Kenzie. And I really don't like the name Joelle.  I would just do Kenzie Jo.

I like the names Liam and Elijah, but you are right, they're getting more popular.  I think Liam sounds more masculine than Elijah, so I would go with that one.  I think it will never be as popular as names like Matthew or Johnathan, so I think you will be happy with it.

Christopher is a great middle name.  It doesn't get shortened to "Chris", which is a good thing.

    Other names to consider:

    Kenley

    Kena

    Shealee

    Owen

    Blake

    Lucas

    Leighton

  11. I love the name Liam i live in Canada and its not common here
