The visitors were all-out for 250 runs in their first innings. The team went off to a bad start, but recovered well in the end, courtesy an excellent half-century from lower-order player Calum Haggett.

Craig Overton was the next man to be dismissed in the innings after adding four runs to the total, leaving the visitors five down for 98 runs on the board.

Somerset 2nd XI were 132 for the loss of 8 wickets at that stage of the innings and were threatened to be bowled out below 150. However, lower-order batsmen Haggett and James Regan came to the rescue of their team with a solid 76-run stand for the ninth wicket.
