The visitors had to chase down 272 runs for victory, but were bowled out for 202 runs on the final day’ play.

Key was the first man to be dismissed in the innings after a 61-run partnership with Denly at the top of the order. Kent’s captain did not find conditions easy to bat, as he kept on struggling throughout his innings. He limped to 17 runs off 73 balls before
finally being dismissed.

However, the stylish opener failed to convert his innings into a big one and was the fourth wicket to fall in the day. His wicket left Kent in deep trouble at 87/4.
Middle-order batsman Darren http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Jones-c69217 stabilised the innings with a 45-run partnership for the fifth wicket, but both failed to make most of the start to their respective outings.
Jones got out after collecting 26 runs to the total whereas Stevens managed 27 before being dismissed.

Kent were 155/8 at that stage of the innings, but solid contributions from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Coles-c51379 guided the team into a better position. They put together 57 runs for the ninth wicket partnership before the former got out for 31 runs.
Coles played a crucial knock of 41 runs, guiding the team to 242 runs in the end. He was the last wicket to fall in the hosts’ innings.
