Does he have what it takes to be the next triple crown winner?

2. Eight Belles going down and being euthanized?

Should trainer Larry Jones have put her into the Derby or kept her in the Oaks?

1. No horse has won from the 20th Post Position since 1929, so his performance is noteworthy. I doubt Big Brown will win the Triple Crown since he suffers from brittle feet. He cannot wear traditional horse shoes and wears shoes made of plastic that are glued on.

2. Judging by Eight Belles placing second, she was good enough to compete in the Derby. There is no way that anyone could have predicted her extremely unfortunate injury.
