What are the local regulations about having Jack Daniels in a fishing boat?

I hope it isn't required - I would rather have a cooler full of beer.

  1. On top of what dirtydan stated; I will also add they have been enforcing the water regulations this year more stringently, with more patrols and on lakes they are not used to being seen on that much.

Try that on any of the major lakes like Dale Hollow, Ky or Barkley, Cumberland and any of them around major cities and you will find yourself in jail with points being taken off you DRIVERS License.

And from my understanding as of this year it is no longer a BUI, but a DUI, but either or get caught and the fine is high and points come off you drivers license.

  2. LOL!!!   BEER AND FISHING, PERFECT TOGETHER

  3. Actually, it is a requirement to have Maker's Mark. Jack is Tennessee whiskey.  Of course, beer is also allowed, as long as you don't bring any back to shore and pee off the side of your boat in a public area.  Good Luck Fishing!

  4. No alcoholic beverages of any kind are to be consumed on Kentucky waters. Most of the lakes in Kentucky are in DRY counties either by design or accident. You can have it , but you cannot consume it on the Lake without risking arrest for BUI (boating under the influence.)

Kentucky takes the problem of boating accidents and drowning in our lakes very seriously as they should. Too many folks die every year because of this problem.

Keep the drinks on shore and be safe out there.
