Kenwood car stereo resets when i turn car off?

how do i stop my kenwood kdc-W312SA car CD/MP3 player from resetting everytime i turn my car off. Is it something to do with the yellow and red plugs on the iso connector lead? i can't find my manual

  1. Permanent and ignition wires are the wrong way round.  Swap over the yellow and red wires at the bullet connectors


  2. Your constant wire, (memory wire) isn't hooked up, or somethings wrong with it. Just run a new power wire from your radio to your battery.

  3. You have to find the wire in your vehicle that stays hot. The yellow wire is your memory wire, it needs to connected to the battery wire that stays hot. The red wire needs to go on your ignition hot wire. The ignition hot wire is the wire that gets hot when you turn your ignition on. It is best to use a Light Tester to find the right wire before hooking the radio back up.

  4. I dont really know anything about this but I have had to look up troubleshooting alot for my man and I seem to remember something about needing to have the constant wire hooked up right?
