In the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kenya-c752, at the Bready Cricket Club, Magheramason, on August 5, 2011.
The American contingent was led by their skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pranay-Suri-c82502 (28).
For the Kenyan youth, the pick of the bowlers was Emmanuel Ringera, who took 4 crucial scalps.
Put into bat, the opening pairing of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Cameron-Mirza-c49164 started briskly.
The leading run-scorer, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Taylor-c92915, creamed a glorious cut shot on the fifth ball of the very first over. He hit a six and another four before he perished for 19. In an attempt to hit big he was caught at mid-off by Raj Shikotra off the bowling of Duncan Allan.
His opening partner too followed him soon, as Raj Sawala caught him LBW. The innings then got the much needed momentum by Joshi and Sewdia, with the pair adding 106 for the third wicket.
Both men took their time to settle and looked solid. While mostly accumulating in singles, the pair also stroked the odd deliveries to the boundary.
There was a scare in between, with the rain threatening to washout the match. However, it was a passing shower and the play resumed after a short delay.
The skipper was the aggressor, as he brought up his 50 in the 26th over. He was dropped by Harrison Angila at the score of 63 but that did not prove costly as five runs later he was unfortunately run-out through some good fielding by his counterpart,
Kennedy Ochieng.

The next batters all chipped in with quick runs, before a late order collapse restricted the total under 250.
The main damage was done by Pranay Suri, making a 18 ball 28 run cameo, which included 2 boundaries and a powerful strike to the extra cover region for a maximum.
He took part in the some crucial pairings with the late order before becoming the ninth and subsequently the last wicket to fall, giving Ringera his fourth scalp of the match.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Duncan-c54739 then bowled a good last over, conceding just five runs, with the Americans finishing on a healthy 238, though it looked much better till the half-way point.
As for the bowlers, apart from Ringera, Allan and Savala were top notch, grabbing a brace each, while going for less than 4 runs per over.
The Kenyans will be looking to their openers to provide them with a good start.
