  1. I have been there, it is very beautiful. I wouldnt advice you to go there during rainy seasson , it will spoil everything, also it is very hot in Kerala now. Go after November.

    Best of Luck

  2. "Kerala-God's Own Coountry" this is the caption of Kerala Tourism.

Ofcourse, it is really great to see the monsoon season of Kerala, especially Munnar, Thekkady, and Some backwater trips by House Boats. Better to select July/August for the trip.

Many tour operators are available and hopefully you will never get a good pricing or good advice from anyone, as they need only business... it is the fact.

It is better to go by train till Ernakulam/Trichur, then you can go by taxi or rent a car services, (this will not be a package tour and will be a trip to be organized by yourself.

Ernakulam to Munnar (via Puthenkurissu, Kolenchery, Muvattupuzha, Kothamangalam, Neriamangalam) will be approx 110 Kms by Road (NH 49) After visiting Munnar, Go through Devikulam, Kallar, Vandanmedu and you will reach Thekkady (I am mentioning only the main points in between) Munnar to Thekkady is approx. 60 Kms only by State Highway 19.

Thekkady to Kottayam (75 Kms app) and you can add one more place to your trip and is Kumarakam (Kottayam) and you can enjoy the backwater houseboat ride here in Kumarakam- Vembanadu Backwaters. Kottayam to Kumarakam, You can go straight from Kumarakam to Ernakulam, and enjoy a little of Queen of Arabian Sea (kochi/Cochin) it will add some more in your trip, and pack up for your home back from Ernakulam.

    Just for your info only...

If you need, I am ready to provide more details on the accomodation facilities in all these areas, cheap to high...

    Have a nice journey
