Kerosene heater won't restart

A dyno-Glo 125,000 btu kerosene heater with a thermostat, will run for a while, shut off, and display E 1 error code. I don't have the manual and don't know what this is. If the switch is turned off and on it will turn back on, but won't restart automatically.
