Keurig d60 I must hold the handle for it to work

Question

I used the external (grey insert) in order to use my own ground coffee. When I returned the black insert I now have to hold the handle down in order for it to be ready and start brewing. It's almost like it isn't seated properly but I can't find the problem?? Help! I love the machine but don't want to have to stand their all of the time.
