Why is Kevin returning to the tigers,and what was his reason for leaving in the first place. ?

Hope so, KB was my favourite player as a kid. Big fall out with management decades ago. They have been trying to get him back for years, i really hope it happens.

He got the sack as coach and has been bitter about it ever since..poor bloke, dont blame him - he was a true champion player and respectable coach.  Definately a big lost to the Tigers.

Based on what I saw on the news, it looks like he has written a new book and to help promote it, he is returning to the Tiger club house to a) make a mends with the club, and b) promote his book.

His leaving,i believe, was from a rather ugly fallout with the Richmond hierachy years ago, That was one of the reasons he was a no show at their Team of the Century dinner.

In an industry where there are those who have been sacked as coach ....and those still to be ....Poor little KB was not happy when it came his turn .   He vowed never to return until the entire board who terminated him, ....were terminated themselves !

so that must be the scenario now.    He wasn't a successful coach, and may have not believed, the age old adage,  the club is always bigger than the individual.
