Kevin Bieksa plays vital role in Canucks’ win that puts the Canadian team in a strong position

Vancouver Canucks’ coach, Alain Vigneault, was not surprised to see the amazing performance Kevin Bieska came up with in the second game of the Western Conference Finals.
Alain said that he wasn’t shocked at the way he outperformed during the second game. In fact, the coach said that he expected him to perform the same way each time he went on ice.
"We've all known that Kevin is a character guy and a real competitor", Vigneault said, following Canucks' 7-3 win in Game 2 that included a Gordie Howe hat-trick for Bieksa. "That's what he did (Wednesday night). That's what he's done for us consistently
this year".
Bieska was absolutely brilliant during the second game of the series as he was the stand out performer during the game.
The fact that he becomes an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season would put him in a strong position to bargain his salary and would also raise his price as teams including Canucks will be hoping to sign him.
He was the goal scorer of the only goal in the second period but more importantly, the goal put Canucks in the lead after which they just moved on and scored goals to win the game in the end.
His fights during the game were also crucial that played a vital role in taking Canucks through the chequered flag and putting it in a comfortable position in the league.
San Jose Sharks and its coach accepted the fact that it was unable to remain calm and lost it at the wrong time, giving away too many penalty minutes that resulted in Sharks losing the game.
"I can't see in their heads so I'm not sure what got them rattled, but I don't really care too much about how they're feeling", Bieksa said. "I know we scored a couple big goals in the second. For whatever reason, they took some penalties in the third”.
Canucks, on the other hand, was absolutely superb during the course of the game as it scored four times during the final period and used the power-plays very efficiently.
Vancouver’s defence was also good during the final period even though they allowed a goal but it didn’t change the fact that Canucks thrashed Sharks by 7-3.
With Chris Higgins scoring the winning goal, Canucks completed a performance in which they saw all players in every position involved in the dominating performance.
Later on, the game winning goal scorer agreed to the fact that Bieksa is a very important player for the team whose performances can certainly change the outcome of a game.
