Kevin Cordes occupies Men’s 100 yards breaststroke gold – AT&T Winter National Championships
Kevin Cordes of ZONAAZ occupied gold medal of the Men’s 100 yards breaststroke on day two of the 2012 AT&T Winter National Championships in Austin, TX, USA on Friday, November 30.
Cordes demonstrated his astonishing efforts in the four-lap discipline and proved his mettle for the title by finishing first in the race.
With his relentless efforts in the 100 yard discipline, Cordes was half a body length ahead of his following swimmer and tapped the wall for gold medal by producing a nice time of 51.10 seconds.
Cordes’ astonishing pace remained prominently under the championship record of 51.35 seconds, owned by Michael Alexandrov of Russia in 2010.
The gold medallist was followed by Mike Alexandrov of TROJCA, who was 0.52 seconds behind and concluded his race in a wonderful time of 51.62 seconds for silver medal.
The silver medallist was trailed by Christopher Burckle of FORDAZ, who was 0.37 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and transpired on the finishing end for bronze medal by producing a time of 51.99 seconds.
Fourth spot of the race was obtained by Bradley Craig of VOLSSE, who was 0.31 seconds apart and emerged on the finishing blockade with the timing of 52.30 seconds.
Craig was traced by Carl Mickelson of ZONAAZ, who stayed 0.11 seconds away from his foregoing finisher and clocked an effort of 52.41 seconds.
Sixth spot of the race was obtained by Kevin Steel of ZONAAZ, who was only a touch away from upsetting his foregoing finisher and clocked a time of 52.66 seconds.
Steel was traced by Imri Ganiel of UN03ST, who was half a body length slower from his foregoing finisher and concluded his race in a time of 53.12 seconds for seventh position.
Ganiel was followed by Timothy Freeman of UCSBCA, who was 0.69 seconds slower from his preceding swimmer and finished last in the race by producing a time of 53.81 seconds.
In addition, Cordes was overjoyed with his form in the breaststroke discipline and proclaimed that he would try his level best to impress his supporters by achieving the same at forthcoming swimming events.
