Kevin Durant, Derrick Rose, Chris Bosh: Noticeable performances from 15th May’s playoff games
Derrick Rose leads Chicago Bulls past Miami Heat
MVP Derrick Rose had a team-high 28 points, including 10 in the third quarter, and six assists as the Chicago Bulls’ stunned the Miami Heat 103-82 in the first game of the Eastern Conference finals. With this win, Chicago lead
the best-of-seven series 1-0.
The 22-year-old guard had some nervy moments early on but once he nailed a three, he never looked back.
Luol Deng announces himself
Loul Deng was perhaps the most instrumental player against the Heat on the night. The Bulls forward contributed 21 points, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range, and also grabbed seven rebounds.  Not only had that, but the 26-year-old
forward also did a fantastic job in defending LeBron James. He played a physical, hard-nosed defence on James, limiting him to a 5-of-15 shooting and 15 points only.
Chris Bosh finally sizzles for the Heat
Chris Bosh was the only bright spot for the Miami Heat on the night. With Wade and James misfiring, Bosh picked up the slack and poured a game-high 30 points along with nine rebounds in 37 minutes. Bosh overcame 1-for-8 shooting
from the field in the last game and shot 12-for-18 on the night. In addition to that, he also went 6-for-6 from the foul line.
The Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau appreciated the contribution of Bosh in the loss of Miami and said, “Bosh has been a very good player, a great player, in this league for a long time,” Thibodeau said. “Every great player will have
a game like that once in a blue moon. So we knew the likelihood of that happening again was remote.”
Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook show why they are All-Stars
On Sunday night, Oklahoma City Thunder finally managed to fend off the tenacious Memphis Grizzlies as they won the game-7 of the hard fought semifinal series. In doing so, they booked a date with the Dallas Mavericks in the Western
Conference Finals. The stars of the show for OKC were the two usual suspects, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.
Durant had a tremendous game with 39 points and nine rebounds. The power forward bounced back from a lowly 11-point performance in the last game. The Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph acknowledged the great contribution of Durant
towards the success of his team and said, "Durant is a special player, one of the best players in the NBA," "The kid is a gym rat, he works hard. He is one of my favourite players. You have to give him kudos and give him respect.”
Guard Westbrook followed Durant’s performance with his first ever playoff triple-double. He scored 14 points, a season high 14 assists, and 10 rebounds in the victory.
