Kevin Durant offered $1 Million per month by Russian Club CSKA Moscow – NBA Report
Oklahoma City Thunder’s ace forward Kevin Durant has probably been the most active player this summer (with the exception of Kobe Bryant off course). Not only has he been lighting fireworks in the Goodman and Drew Leagues, he has
recently been involved in a number of transfer speculations highlighting his future during the lockout.
With China and Europe already in consideration, this time the rumours have linked the small forward to the Russian league, where several players including Timofey Mozgov of the Denver Nuggets, are set to apply their trade in Russia
until the lockout ends.
Durant’s agent is reportedly in talks with the management of CSKA Moscow and it is being estimated that a deal worth $1 million per month might be reached between the two parties. This means that Durant will potentially be earning
almost twice of what he earns in the NBA, given the lockout does not end for the remainder of the season.
However, Kevin has been silent over the issue and has not passed any statement as of yet. His agent, Aaron Goodwin, has been in the limelight as he hinted Turkey, Spain and Russia as the most likely destinations for Durant.
Previously, Durant did state that he will not make any decisions before October 1. He said that if the lockout does not end by that time, only then will he start exploring his options. However, a good offer might not be easy to
turn down and the Russians seem to be trying their best to land the big man.
Kevin is one the best rising stars of the game and has been highly sought after during the lockout phase. However, up till now, the Oklahoma City small forward has been preoccupied with the domination of the summer leagues. He
loves putting on a show for the crowd and the crowd eagerly love him back for that.
He is ready to play for Goodman once again on Saturday, which will see the Goodman and Drew leagues go head to head in a fiercely competitive game. Durant has already bagged a game high score of 66 points in a fixture at Rucker
Park this summer.
Meanwhile, his agent Aaron Goodwin has been on the lookout for the best possible deals in the international arena. Goodwin is one of the most knowledgeable and well respected individuals in the NBA agent list. It is expected that
he will play an important role in guiding the 22 year old star to the right destination.
Although Durant is yet to comment on the issue, a move involving Kevin would certainly be the biggest news of the summer. It might even go a certain distance to steal the attention garnered by Deron Williams’ move to Besiktas.
Durant was the highest scorer in the league last season with a staggering average of 27.7 points per game.
