<p style="text-align:justify"><strong>The Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder insists that the Ireland manager’s decision to leave him out of the Euro squad was shocking for him; believes he has done everything he could to impress.</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:justify">Kevin Foley has stated that he feels betrayed by Giovanni Trapattoni’s decision to leave him out of the squad for Euro 2012.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">The Ireland manager was required to submit a 23-man squad to UEFA before lunchtime yesterday, and the exclusion of the Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder from the list was a shock for many.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">Foley stated that he was looking forward to playing with his team-mates in the upcoming Euros, but stated that his exclusion from the team is a matter of shock for him.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">The English Premiership player stated that the news was a difficult one for him to absorb, and maintained that he feels that he has been betrayed by the Italian tactician.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">While talking to the press, the former Luton Town player said:</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">"It is hard to take, you know. I sort of feel betrayed. I don't want to go into too much detail. I just feel betrayed."</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">The 27-year old was a part of the preliminary squad announced on May 7, but was replaced in the final selection by Paul McShane, who had been on standby until then.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">Foley was faced with a hamstring problem, and laboured the past few weeks to make himself available for his country’s International team, only to be dropped by the coach from the final selection.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">Trapattoni allegedly believes that the injury concerns suffered by John O'Shea and Darren O'Dea makes McShane a better option, as he can play in the central defence as well as a right-back.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952 defender c*m midfielder stated that he wanted to prove that he is fit to play, and insisted that he could have easily trained with the team last week to play in the game against Bosnia.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">Foley stated that the Ireland boss had assured him that there was no rush, and told him that he could wait until Italy to start training. The 27-year old stated that he felt great training in Italy, and insisted that it was hard
for him to take when the coach told him that he was not in the squad.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">The Wolverhampton Wanderers defender wished his best to the Boys in Green, and stated that it is important for the team to do well in the Euro 2012 despite his exclusion.</p>
